Villa Tropica...Your Personal Resort

David R. said...March 2nd, 2020
We just returned from our week in Turks and Caicos and couldn't be happier with Villa Tropica. Our family of five (kids age 17, 14, 10) thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would gladly return.

Conveniently located around the corner from a beach and within a short drive from others, the property allowed us to be close to the action but have a quiet place to relax.

The villa was well equipped with beach supplies, towels, beach umbrellas, bicycles, and a beach wagon. Robert was most helpful at check-in and advised us on the local area as it was our first time on the island.

His advice to run the bedroom A/C units rather than the central air was also helpful and cost effective. The only bad part of our stay was that it was too short! Thanks for a great week!

Perfect spot for 8 adults and 4 small children

This was my 4th visit to Turks & Caicos, but first time staying at Villa Tropica, and we were extremely happy with the villa.

We stayed for 1 week. We were 8 adults (3 grandparents, two young couples with children, one single in her twenties) and 4 young children (aged 7, 4, 2, and 1) -- and the villa managed to keep all of us happy.

The villa is as-advertised -- it's spacious, conveniently located, and in a very safe area. Even small details felt upscale (e.g., the portable beach chairs are Tommy Bahama -- an expensive brand!).

The property manager, Robert, was very helpful. The night we checked in, he asked if we'd like him to secure the pool to better protect our young ones (as designed, it's partially gated, but has a couple of gaps). He said he would come by the next morning with supplies to install a temporary gate -- and true to his word, he arrived by 10 the next morning to install the gate, which worked perfectly to keep the little ones away from the pool.

We spent most days either walking or driving to the nearby beaches, or to the main Grace Bay hub (5 min drive) for dining or shopping. Leeward offers the perfect mix of being away from the crowds, but still conveniently located.

The charges for A/C and the water allowance turned out to largely be non-issues. We all ran the A/C in the bedrooms at night, which resulted in a very very modest charge for the week. We did not run the central A/C in the common areas, as Robert advised this could run up costs -- the common area was usually comfy, but occasionally got a little warm --

this was easily solved by hanging out in the lush gardens or outdoor dining area, which was always pleasant.

The water allowance was more than generous. We did many loads of laundry and dishes, plus many baths and showers, and we used a little more than half of the 3,000 gallon allowance.

There's lots more I could say, but it's already been covered by other reviewers. We will stay here again, and you should too.

Fantastic House, Perfect for Reunion!

House was FANTASTIC! Robert was responsive, helpful, and great to work with. The pool and back yard area were perfect for morning gatherings and evening dinners.

The kitchen had plenty of cooking and baking items to make it possible to cook dinners for nine people in the house.

The floor plan allowed our group to spread out when we wanted to, but also be together for games, meals and movies.

We loved having the bikes available too. The house was an easy, two block walk to the beach. Food is very expensive, so we were happy we brought things some things from home in an extra suitcase.

Thank you for an amazing location for our graduation reunion trip!

Perfect home and location

We loved Villa Tropica for our vacation this year with our family. The location is great and a 10 minute easy walk to the beach.

This section of the beach is perfect, no crowds and a nice area to explore on foot and for some snorkeling as well. Villa Tropica is well maintained, so many seating areas for dining, playing cards or just hanging out in the evening.

The bedrooms are well suited for adults or children, we had our 3 adult children and spouses with us and it was perfect. The master bedroom is on the other side of the home and well appointed, loved the master bath as well.

The kitchen had everything we needed, we cooked dinners in several evenings using both grill and oven. We loved the use of the freezer in the extra room to chill items prior to putting them in the main fridge, great idea!

The bikes were enjoyed several times through the week. The grounds, outdoor seating areas and the pool were thoroughly enjoyed by all every morning, afternoon and evening.

This is our third visit to this beautiful island and I cannot wait to start planning our fourth visit.

The property manager Robert is wonderful to work with, this was our second year working with him and we could not ask for a better person as a resource or for assistance.
